He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Wiest and Marie Wiest (Wilcox); his son Donald Louis; his grandson Nicholas Weist; his son-in-law Brian Meiners; and his siblings, Larry Weist, MaryAnn Weist, Lyle Wiest, Kate Glasbrenner, Shirley Glasbrenner, Roger Wiest and Richard Weist.
He is survived by: his children, Corie Furuseth (Dana), Brad Weist, Kevin Weist and Robin Bishop (Paul); his grandchildren, Phillip Hefel (Julie), Lindsay Weist, Brandon Meiners (Felicia) and Cortney Kirk (Kyle); his granddaughter-in-law Jessica Weist; and his siblings, Charles Weist, Judy Ormson, Linda Spiehs and Colleen Frazier. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (930 Jefferson St, Fennimore, WI 53809). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
