He was predeceased by: his parents, George Winters and Mabel Winters (Nauert); his sister Elaine Timmerman; his siblings-in-law, Donald Moriva and Laronda Winters; and his parents-in-law, LaVern and Ardythe Wilcox.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean of Fennimore; his children, Vernon Winters of Sun Prairie, Mark Winters (Jean Salzgeber) of Boscobel, Dean Winters (Beth) of Lodi and Madonna Goldwasser (Kevin Turner) of Fennimore; his grandchildren, Andrea, Allison, Ryan, Rachel Winters, Ruth and Miriam Goldwasser; and his siblings, Maxine Moriva of Madison, Jerome Winters (Carolyn) of Madison and Roscoe Winters (Evie Schwandt) of Mineral Point.
Carlos was a brain donor for the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center through U.W. Health.
