He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Rene and Elaine Rene (Gifford); his niece Rhonda Poirier; his great-nephew Alex Albrecht; his brother-in-law Steve Ching; his half-brother Rusty Merrick; his uncle Roy Rene; and his friend Rick Henning.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Rene-Kirchoff (Eddie Turner) of Owen, Wisconsin; his granddaughters, Brittany Steig (Isaiah Steig) of Rochester, MN and Caitlyn Kirchoff of La Crosse, WI; his siblings, Woody (Sue Rene), Betty (Dan Thompson) and Duane Rene; his half-sisters, Diana Carsten and Jennifer Corbin; his nieces and nephews, Scott (Shawna Rene), Aurora Becker (Chase Becker), Megan Rene, Travis Sand and Andrew Rene; and his close friend Randy Henning. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (721 S State St, Fall Creek, WI 54742). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
