He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingwald Larson and Vesta Larson (Frick); and his son Joseph Larson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sue Poppe; his sons, Greg Larson (Mary) of Fall Creek and Adam Larson (Stacy Carlson) of Ladysmith; his grandchildren, Kiersten Larson and Kael Larson of Fall Creek; and his siblings, Karen Sanderson of Woodbury, MN, Dave Larson (late Arlyce) of Maple Plain, MN, Jerry Larson of Woodbury, MN and Mike Larson (Jacque) of Eau Claire. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
