He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Fritz" Fredendall and Harriet Fredendall (Norby); and his brother Dale Fredendall. He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Whipple); his children, Jeffery Fredendall (Jeff Cunningham) and Amy Larson (Jamie); his siblings-in-law, Sharon Gibson (John) and Gordon Whipple (Yvonne); his family Don; his close friend Steve Pfaff; and his granddaughter Ellie. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to support St. John's Lutheran Church or start a fund that will benefit local veterans' programs.
