He was predeceased by: his parents, William Phalin and Freda Phalin (Whitt); and his siblings, Gerald, Harland, Rosie, Marguerite, Lucille and Lawrence "Ted".
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Mickelson; his children, Robert Phalin (Barb Tellefson) of Busseyville, Karen Platson of LaFarge, Larry Phalin (Chris) of Argyle, Rosemary Ruppe of Janesville, Douglas (Laurie) of Ocala, FL., Roger Phalin of Evansville and Loren Phalin of Edgerton; his grandchildren, Robby, Jason, Scott, Abby, Jessica, Clint, Luke, Matthew, Machelle, Amy, Marc, Samantha, Thomas, Kelsie, Mallorie, Kyle, Brittney and Hillary; his great grandchildren, Jesse, Dakota, McKenna, Ashley, Riley Lou, Dylan, Aydin, Jaxon, Braxton, Addison, Jordon, Devon, Reece, Callie, Brooklyn, Bryden, Jace, Nick and Emma; and his sisters, Helen Schmitz (Bill) and Eleanor Sprague. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
