He is survived by: his wife Ann Kleinsmith Merrill; his children, Julie A. Merrill of Janesville and Mark L. Merrill of Evansville; his grandchildren, Samuel J. Merrill and Eden C. A. Merrill; his brother Miles; his sister-in-law Sue Kleinsmith; and his cousin Marjorie Klitzman (Rodney).
