Doris left this world on October 2, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Apfel and Corinne Apfel (Murwin); her children-in-law, Jim Schiffner and Deb Olsen; her siblings, Albert "Bud" Apfel (Shirley), Robert Apfel, Darlene Apfel and Gerald Apfel (Lois); and her siblings-in-law, Trygve Olsen and Dorie Underkofler.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur E. Olsen; her children, Shirley Schiffner of Oregon, David Olsen (Bobbie Jo Werner) of Evansville, Karen Reese (Denny) of Evansville, Linda Thompson (Greg) of LaCrosse and Kattie Egede Motzfeldt; her grandchildren, Chris (Jen), Dan (Joni), Kate (Chris), Scott (Laura), Angie (Jared), Tommy (Lindsay), Amy, Erica (Sean), Kyle (Maxine) and Mitch (Jenna); her sister Nadene Dreher (Tom) of Janesville; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Apfel (Pete Kleven) of Fitchburg and Sheila Olsen of Brooklyn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cooksville Lutheran Church (11927 W Church St, Evansville, WI 53536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
