She was predeceased by: her parents, Erford Balch and Gladys Balch (Rasmussen); her son Donnie; and her siblings, Mary and Gordie Balch.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Sr.; her sons, Walter Bruce Jr., David Bruce (Susie) and Brian Bruce; her grandchildren, Gregory and Heather; and her brother Howard Balch (Shirley). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Carol J. Bruce Memorial Fund, addressed to the Bruce Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, Ltd., P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
