She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Root and Byrd Root (Lewis); her husband Eugene; and her siblings, Don Root and Joanne Hubacher.

She is survived by: her son Dennis (Chris Mauerman) of Albany; her grandsons, Kurt (Kris) of Evansville and Craig of Albany; her great grandchildren, Allie, Maddie, Ainsley and Katie; and her sisters, Nancy Coffey and Shirley Conrad of Evansville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
