He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hastings and Muriel Hastings (Demaske); his wife Joyce Burdette; his daughter Brenda Parker; his grandson Cassidy Mayer; and his great grandchild Emmie Thayer.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Hastings (Susan) of Elroy, Michael Hastings (Mary York) of Wonewoc, Jeffrey Hastings of Reedsburg and Randall Hastings (Connie) of Wonewoc; his grandchildren, Brian Hastings (Michelle), Patricia Beckwith, Matthew Hastings, Danny Hastings, Tiffany DiOrio and Dustin Parker; and his stepgrandchildren, Travis Revels and Sarah Thayer (Andy). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
