She was predeceased by: her parents, Celian Baker and Martha Baker; her husband Arthur John Hafenstein; her daughter Karen Jane Hafenstein Lee; her son-in-law Michael Lee; and her siblings, Russell Charles, Marguerite May and Ceilan Arthur Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Rose Marie Hafenstein (James Wolfram); her grandchildren, Kristine Powers (Greg), Danielle James (Matt), Nathan Schroeder (Dani) and Jonathan Schroeder (Shannon); her great grandchildren, Arianna, Skylar, Brecken and Hadleygh; her sisters, Katheryn Walter of Mauston, Martha Webster of Spooner and Elizabeth Moore of California; and her siblings-in-law, Lynn Baker of Watertown, Lucille Hafenstein Roessler of Lake Mills and Harold Hafenstein (Crystal) of Lake Mills. She is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (271 E Prospect St, Lake Mills, WI 53551). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family, United Methodist Church, Rainbow Hospice, or to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 67 – reflection of Mary's lifelong commitment to faith, service, and community.
