He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Delong and Pauline Delong (Kelm); his sister Leola Retz (Lawrence); his daughter Lori Moss; and his son-in-law Ken Dolby.
He is survived by: his wife May Smith; and his children, Connie Dolby of Menomonie and Dan Delong (Julie) of Menomonie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
