He is survived by: his wife Colette (Sanville); his children, Becky Marchan, Rick Brunkan (Lisa Layera), Melissa Brunkan and John Brunkan (Betty Wang); his grandchildren, Madeleine, Isabel, Jack, Hannah, Parker, Josephine and Lucas; his brothers, Robert "Bob" Brunkan of Dyersville and David Brunkan (Marian) of Dyersville; his siblings-in-law, Richard "Dick" Schmaltz (Dorothy) of Dubuque, Judy Sanville Ruzicka of Boulder, Colorado., Bernice and Fran Brunkan; his sisters, Stella Hogan and Mary Jean Schmaltz; his brothers-in-law, Patrick Hogan and Ralph Ruzicka; and his son-in-law Miguel "Mike" Marchan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
