Warren Enger Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Warren Enger (Ellsworth, Wisconsin), born in Madison, Minnesota, who passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julian Enger and Gladys Enger (Olson); and his wife Pamela Gardiner.

Memorials are preferred to the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library or Feed My Starving Children may be directed to the funeral home.

“It was a great pleasure and privilege to know Warren. He was fiercely honest and candid, independent, and pragmatic. And he could fix most anything. Unassuming and humble, he led a remarkable life that took him around the world - from duties in Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer to de-mining the Khyber pass. He had a way of making sense and being useful that was extraordinary. Peggy and I send our deepest sympathies to Pam and his family and friends. We’ll miss him dearly.”
