She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann Dirner and Wilhelmina Dirner (Buchener). She is survived by: her husband Dale Melstrom; her children, Steve Melstrom (Sally), Scott Melstrom (Terri Howe), Mark Melstrom (Carol), Teresa Strom (Mark) and Mary Melstrom; her grandchildren, Peter Girdeen, Ross Girdeen, Gary Melstrom, Jamie Freese (Toby Rivord), Jared Melstrom (Katy), Jenna O'Malley (Dennis), Chad Melstrom (Emily), Chase Melstrom (Heather), Carlie DuBose (Jeffrey), Riley Melstrom (Kendra), Logan Melstrom, Paige Strom (Jon Walter), Mason Strom, Chelsy Schug (Trent), Sawyer Strom, Makara Strom (Peter Elwood), Kaden Strom, Delanie Strom, Tenley Strom, Conner Ekholm, Coby Ekholm, Cale Ekholm and Cramer Ekholm; her sister Irene Kolb; her son Peter Melstrom; and her siblings, Hildegard Gottsman and Ernst Dirner. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the English Lutheran Church (229 W Main St, Ellsworth, WI 54011). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:35 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery South Piety (532 S Piety St, Ellsworth, WI 54011).
