Kathryn Schommer Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest E. Birkel and Kathryn I. Birkel (Zeillinger); her brothers, Randall J. Birkel (LaVerle), Joseph F. Birkel (Kaye) and Dale J. Birkel (Lila); and her brother-in-law Dr. Frederick B. Klaas (Ralph F. Schommer).
She is survived by: her husband Ralph F. Schommer; her sister JuDea A. Klaas; and her siblings-in-law, Gene Schommer (Jane), Lee Schommer and Carol Mercord (John). She is also survived by many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
Alzheimer's disease descended upon Kathryn in her later years and she was ultimately stricken with Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Francis Catholic School, 244 W Woodworth St., Ellsworth, WI 54011.
