He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McGillis and Lena McGillis; his parents-in-law, Francis and Anna Brenner; and his siblings, Stuart McGillis (Delores) and Lorraine Engeset (Bud).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Brenner; his children, Katy of Ellsworth, Karen Hurtgen (Randy) of Boyceville, WI, Patrick McGillis (Vickie) of Minnesota City, MN and Jane White of Spring Valley, WI; his grandchildren, Kyle Keller (Andrea) of Colorado Springs, CO, Steven Keller (Kara) of Menomonie, WI, Jade Roinila (Ryan Baker) of Red Wing, MN, Quinn Sullivan-Forsberg (Erick) of Menomonie, WI, Hunter White of Elmwood, WI and Mackenzie White of Spring Valley, WI; his pet Henry; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Leia Forsberg and True Keller; and his nieces and nephews, Patti Ingli (Jerry), Lindsay Lien (Laure Richter), Greg Engeset (Nel), Angie Nelson (Luke), Ali Helmueller (Mitch) and Ara Engeset.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to St. Francis Catholic School of Ellsworth, WI.
