He was predeceased by: his parents, Ginette Geneviève Sorensen (Cerèzo) and Vernon Sorensen. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Sorensen of Ellison Bay; his children, Kelly Sorensen of Chicago and Kirk Sorensen (Nicole) of Gleason, WI; his granddaughter Avery Sorensen; his brother Larry Sorensen (Kathleen); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Duggan (William), Jeanne Boecher (Tom), William Merges, Tim Merges and Emma. He is also survived by dog companion; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family has asked loved ones to plant a tree in his name and Memorial donations can be made in his name to the Door County Land Trust and The Good Samaritan Society – Scandia Village in Sister Bay.
