He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Heckert and Althea Heckert; and his brother Russell Heckert (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Janet (Jansen); his sons, Bret (Kris) of Smyrna, TN, Mark (Karen Phillips) of Elkhorn, WI and Kevin (Sally) of Whitewater, WI.; his grandchildren, Justin (Melissa), Kendyl, Kiersten Kreuziger, Logan (Whitney), Maverick, Troy, Emily, Allison, Meredith, Clare and Liam Heckert; his sisters, Shirley Zalewski of Green Bay, WI and Laura Fleming of South Beloit, IL; his siblings-in-law, Mary Rice (Tyke) of Sun City, AZ and Don Jansen (Darlene) of Whitewater, WI; his sons, English Springer Spaniels and Miniature Schnauzers; his brother-in-law Stan Zalewski; and his friends, Ray and Jeanine Hummel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
