He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ganhs and Lydia Ganhs (Kamholtz); his brothers-in-law, Hank Darkow and Tom Fischer; and his nephew Peter Darkow.
He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Susan Benning (Kenneth), David Ganhs (Brenda) and Jeffrey Ganhs (Chris); his grandchildren, Ryan, Kara, Gina, Matthew, Theresa, Davin, Angela, Katie Sue, Stacey and Alyssa; and his sister-in-law Lois Darkow. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
