We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2023, at the age of 81, Kaaren J. Nelson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Smith and Wilma Smith; and her husband Gene "Skip" Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Gina Lopez, Barry Nelson (Kim) and Lisa Nelson (Don Knowlton); her grandchildren, Adi Sotelo, Marco and Christian Lopez; her great grandchild Josie Hatch; her sister Joan Mack (Mike); and her nieces, Kelly Mack and Shannon Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lakeland Animal Shelter.
