He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Hedwig Staedter; his wife Joanne Staedter (Tenpas); his children, Carla Staedter (Keith Williams) of Lake Oswego, OR, Scott Staedter (Jeanne Hrovat) of Madison, WI and Patty Wifkofski (Ken) of Burlington, WI; his grandchildren, Luke, Anders, Anna, Shane and Jana; his sister Panny Bongardt; his friend Mary Dowdle; his mother Hattie Bongardt; his stepfather Fritz Bongardt; his sister Elizabeth Rupnow (Staedter); his brother-in-law Orville Rupnow; his nephew David Rupnow; his brother-in-law Richard Rehberg; and his parents-in-law, Harvey and Mildred Tenpas. He was also cherished by his kids, grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, a celebration-of-life and military salute event will be scheduled in 2021.
