He was predeceased by: his parents, George Greattinger and Clara Greattinger (Wiecke); his wife Virginia Janusiak; and his brother Lawrence Greattinger. He is survived by: his children, Diane Hildenbrand (Gary), Donald Greattinger Jr. (Gail), Daryl Greattinger (Shelly) and Debra Dittmar (Glen); his grandchildren, Jason Hildenbrand (Stacey), Leslie Jerger (Dean), Jamie Rohrscherb (Tracy), Sarah Hall, Harmony Forest, Windy Guffey, Lindsay, Aaron (Austin Greattinger) and Ashley Galassi (Evan Dittmar); and his great grandchildren, Layla, Natalie, Kate, Leah, Alex, Zachary, Jake, Griffen, Sidney, Isabella, Ethan, Gweneth Grace and Hattie Rose.
