He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Nelson and Edna Nelson (May); and his son Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jacobson; his daughters, Dee Dee Schilffarth (Rick) and Kirky Kraemer; his grandchildren, Josh Kraemer (Katie), Sammy DeRuyter (Kesler), Zach Kraemer, Susie Custer (Rich Perkett), Julie Custer and Steve Custer; his great grandchildren, Thomas Jeffrey Custer, Cora Lin Kraemer and Avery Leiten DeRuyter; and his sister Shirley Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and other family members and friends.
