With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary E. Strehlau of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 26, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Knopps and Mayme Knopps (Brehm); her husband Arnold; her daughter Nancy Putman; her siblings, Jerome Knopps and Genevieve Huftel; her siblings-in-law, Ervin Strehlau, Virginia Philen (Patrick) and Phyllis Steinke (LaVern); her niece Connie Strehlau; and her nephews, Patrick Philen Jr. and Jeffrey Knopps.
She is survived by: her children, Dean (Kathie) of Mahtomedi, MN, Daniel (Doris) of Elk Mound, Margaret Hughes (Roger) of Somerset, Arnold A. Strehlau of Elk Mound, Sally Thompson (John) of Menomonie and Carla Sumner (Joseph) of Eau Claire; her son-in-law Larry Putman of Elk Mound; her grandchildren, Lucas, Corinna, Jeremy, Jared, Catherine, Dan Jr., Tamara, Randy, Paul, Nikki, Lauri, Brittany, David, Justin and Tyler; her siblings, Luella Krumrie (Eugene) and Ronald Knopps (Leone); and her siblings-in-law, Gordon Strehlau (Sharon), Stanley Huftel and Bernadine Strehlau. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and relatives.
