He was predeceased by: his parents, Chet Kemnitz and Irene Kemnitz; his siblings, Tom Kemnitz, Sally Mattheis and Joann Freiberg; his siblings-in-law, Bill Kaiser, Reine Albrecht and Beth Kemnitz; and his daughter-in-law Sharon Kemnitz.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Dan Kemnitz, Pastor Timothy Kemnitz (Dee), Cindy Christianson, Kathie Nelson (Larry), Penny Techlin (Kim), Peggy Navis (Tim) and Beth Cohoon (Wade); his siblings, Dave Kemnitz, Jim Kemnitz (Sandy), Steve Kemnitz (Nancy), Gary Kemnitz (Faye), Mary Kaiser, Kaye Albrecht and Alice Wittchow (Jeff); and his siblings-in-law, Fred Mattheis, Bill Freiberg, Melvin Gantner (Mary), Richard Gantner (Caren) and Carol Kemnitz. He is also survived by seven children, 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
