He is survived by: his children, Holly Tiry, Nikki Tiry and Kenneth Knipfel; his grandson Oliver Tiry; and his siblings, Barbara Peterson (Joseph), Bonnie Spatz (Gary), David Tiry, Dennis Tiry (Judy) and Roland Tiry (Bonnie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
