He is survived by: his wife Carol Schultz; his sons, Ryan Mayer (Melissa) of Hubertus and Eric Mayer (Shannon) of Cedarburg; his grandchildren, Gavin, Stella and Everett; his siblings, Axel Mayer (Cindy), Gisela Kaltz (Gerald) and Rosemarie Kelly (Jeff); his mother-in-law Joann Doering of Milwaukee; and his close friend Bandit.
