He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Buss and Victoria Buss (Wojciechowski); his wife Alvina Hoppe; and his siblings, Mary Jane Zdroik (Maynard), James Buss (Bernice) and Mike Buss (Sue).
He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. Buss (Ellen) of Green Bay, Peter Buss (Elizabeth) of Madison, Mary Sullivan (Leslie) of Wisconsin Rapids, Elizabeth Buss of Wausau and Christopher Buss (Kari) of Evansville; his grandchildren, Andrew (Denna), Steven (Megan), Eric (Maura), Katie, Mike, Erin, Trevor and Gabriel; and his brother Anthony Buss Jr. (Christine). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Robert's name be made to St. Isidore Knights of Columbus or the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
