He was predeceased by: his parents, Iver Uglum and Alta Falkenstein (Sturdevant); his daughter Ronda St. Clair; his stepfather Hubert Falkenstein; and his sisters, Marla Funk and Kay Hardin.
He is survived by: his wife Sonja L. Lyon; his daughters, Lorie Brunner (Brad) of Agency, MO, Wendy Strohbusch of Sarasota, FL and Tracy Kurt (Doug) of Deerfield; his grandchildren, Brandon Brunner (Lindsay), Zack Brunner (Amanda), Jordan Brunner, Taylor Brunner, Rachel Brunner, Danielle Brunner, Matthew Uglum, David St. Clair, Karissa Bornemann (Joe), Lucas Yaeger, Tyler Kurt (Constance), Megan Kurt (Travis Loeffelholz), Hannah Kurt and Caleb Kurt; his great grandchildren, Camryn, Jace, Zeke, Kenna Brunner, Ellie and Emery Bornemann; and his siblings, Delores Steindl of Edgerton, Richard Uglum (Alice) of Edgerton and Thomas Uglum of Edgerton. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
