He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hartzell and Alberta Hartzell (Bellrichard); his wife Charlotte Chase; his daughter Lois Klaus; his siblings, Roger Hartzell, Marlene Nill, Lois Nill and Vera Jean Wells; his son-in-law Fred Klaus; and his sister-in-law Joyce Hartzell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Amundson (Rodney) and Cheryl Anglin; his grandchildren, Krista Matyska (Adam), Leslie Anderson (Jeremy) and Kara Preston (Travis); and his siblings, Donald Hartzell, Lester Hartzell (Barb), Vonnie DeZwarte (Charles), Mary Lou Whitrock (Jim) and Linda Kufel (Larry). He is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
