He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Phillips and Mary Phillips (Portwine); his sons, Lyle Jr. and Dennis; and his brother Darrell Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette E. Murwin; his children, David Phillips (Sue) and Bonnie Slagg (Kevin); his daughters-in-law, Bonita and Pam Phillips; his grandchildren, Denny Phillips (Deb), Lyle Phillips (Melissa), Jeremy Phillips (Shannon), Craig Phillips (Alyssa Gunderson), Amy Schroeder (Andy) and Sara Phillips; his stepgrandchildren, Roger and Harlow Ellingsrud; and his great grandchildren, Denny, Chloe, Caitlyn, Nolan, Nathan, Tucker, Carson, Clayton and Leah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
