He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Jean McGovern III (Rager); his sisters, Vera Voight (Doug) and Kathy Helgestad; and his brother-in-law Ron Borcherding.
He is survived by: his friend Edgerton; his son James William McGovern IV (Barbara); his grandsons, James William McGovern V, Garion James McGovern and Atlas Ron McGovern; his sister Carol Borcherding; and his brother-in-law John Helgestad. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Edgerton. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 116 W Fulton St, Edgerton, WI 53534.
