He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hitchcock and Mildred Hitchcock (House); his daughter Lisa Hitchcock; and his brother Harold Hitchcock. He is survived by: his wife Joyce M. Gisler; his son Elroy Hitchcock of Stoughton; and his siblings, Jim Hitchcock (Stacy) of Delafield, Dick Hitchcock (Marilyn) of Janesville, Marion Arens (Del) of Janesville and Carl Hitchcock (Judy) of Stoughton. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made in Ellery's name to Agrace Hospice or the Southern Wisconsin Humane Society.
