He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold "Shrimp" Schaefer and Virginia Gall; his nephew Kristopher Kuck; and his parents-in-law, Ubald and Doris Baumann.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Baumann; his daughter Erica Schaefer; and his siblings, Kathy Kuck (Randy), Michael Schaefer (Debra), Gilman, Julie Sterzinger (Frank), Daniel Schaefer (Jane), Mary Jo Bruesewitz (Doug), Joe Schaefer (Jill), Colby, Diane Rodman (Blain), Terri Peissig (Mark), Jean Ludwig (Tony), Medford, Jolyn Krohn (Chris), Dells of Wisconsin and Jim Schaefer (Nancy). He is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews; and 26 great nieces and great nephews.
