He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bergs and Josephine Bergs (Rauen); his sister Kathleen Vonesh; and his close friend Robert Bornheimer, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jolene Borchardt; his children, Rex Bergs of Edgar and Trinka Bankes (Jerry) of Edgar; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Sawyer and Madisyn Bankes; his sisters, Mary Jane Chapin and Carolyn Boardman (Don); and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Vonesh, Orrin Borchardt of Marathon and Lanny Borchardt (Kathy) of Wausau.
