He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Florence Mueller (Marge); his daughter Mary Ellen Penno; and his siblings, Dorothy Mais, Lawrence, Fred and Irvin.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Penno (Bonnie) and Tim Penno (Linda); and his grandson Alex Penno.
