He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. O'Brien and Estelle M. O'Brien; his daughter-in-law Sue O'Brien; and his siblings, Florence Flood (Frank), Helen Gellings, Alice Michels Riegert, Michaela O'Brien, Tom O'Brien (Coletta) and Jim O'Brien (Helen).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Ann Geiger (Chuck), Pat O'Brien, Bill O'Brien (Kathy), Kevin O'Brien, Dave O'Brien (Pam) and Pat Brown; his grandchildren, Erik (Sara), Corey, Tara, Joe, Tim (Brittany), Kaitlyn (John), Alicia, Jake, Wyatt, Becca and Mike; his great grandchildren, Emmett, Jackson, Lincoln and Letilyn; and his brother-in-law Willie Gellings. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills Parish, Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes, the O'Brien Scholarship, or Father Mike Shea's Sarnelli House.
