He is survived by: his wife Ellie; his children, Sheila Diels, Eric Diels, Mike Diels, Joe Diels (Amy), Lisa Hansen (Thad Hansen) and Larry Diels, Jr. (Melissa); his grandchildren, Michelle Marx (Christopher), Stephanie Mack, Dominique Wiskow, Michael Diels, Jr., Hunter Hansen, MacKenzie Hansen, Lily Hansen, Ian Diels, Violet Diels, Gabriel Diels, Samuel Diels, Wyatt Diels, Noah Diels and Conrad Hansen; his great grandchildren, Landen, Kelly, Michael and Olivia; his siblings, Brian Diels (Julie), Shirley Grupe, Kathy Malsom and Nancy Kollmann; and his parents-in-law, Darlene Jeziorske (Wayne), Dorothy Atchison (Don), Elsie Strassman (Roger), Linda Strobel (Dave), Jackie Kutz and Leo Kutz.
