He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis H. Baker and Phyllis Baker (Burke). He is survived by: his wife Claudia Clerken; his children, Tara Andrade (Hok), Jodi Weber (Tony) and John Baker (Roxanne); his grandchildren, Hok Winter, Savannah, Stella and Scarlett; and his siblings, Dick Baker (Karen), Bob Baker (Rosie), Mary Schoenborn (Tom) and Diane Brown (Larry). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established to Fr. Mike Shea (Sarnelli House) and Aurora Behavioral Health.
