He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Sr. Schwind and Margaret Schwind (Scott); his brothers, John Jr. Schwind (Barbara Wendling) and Jerome Schwind (Virginia Lex); and his brothers-in-law, Cletus Sippel, Richard Burbach and Ronald Myer.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Lou Myer of Plymouth and Janet Sippel of Mount Calvary. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; other relatives; and friends.
