He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. O'Brien and Margaret H. O'Brien; his siblings-in-law, Florian and Anna Butschlick; his brothers, George, Michael, J. Thomas and David; and his nephews, Terry O'Brien and Danny Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Judith E. Butschlick; his children, Tim O'Brien, Kelly O'Brien (Mark Haensgen) and Kevin O'Brien (Julie); his grandchildren, Bergen and Abe; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara O'Brien, Antoinette Timm (Ray), Nancy O'Brien, Katsie Morgan (Roger) and Louise Fleischman (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated Eden Fire Department, Eden 1st Responders or the Eden Lions Club.
