He is survived by: his wife Effie; his children, Tammy Nelson, Steven Heuer Jr. (Mandi) and Jason Heuer (Tammy); his grandchildren, Anthony Becker, Travis Nelson Jr., Tyler Nelson, Aaron Heuer, Hailey Heuer and Millie Heuer; his brother Greg Heuer (DeeAnna); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Bresina, Kay Garnett and Diane Hanson (Dave).
