With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nancy A. Merkel of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nancy left this world on November 1, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nancy leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nancy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Anderson (O. E.) and Signe Anderson; her husband Jim; her sisters, Eleanor Platt and Doris; and her brother-in-law Richard Borgan. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church (123 W Hamilton Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701). A committal service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (822 Emery St, Eau Claire, WI 54701).
Memorials may be directed to Bethesda or St. Croix Hospice.
