He was predeceased by: his father Dick; and his brother Jeff. He is survived by: his mother Elaine; his wife Tammy; his son Ryan; his daughter-in-law Erika; his sisters, Sherri Flackey (Steve) and Kim Halgren (Bill); his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Gill (Jason), Jason Flackey (Nicole), Kaylee Halgren (Alex Burton), Karissa Halgren (Andrew Hance) and Kortnee Halgren; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoey, Madelynn Gill, Asher and Crew Flackey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations in Mike's honor to the American Cancer Society.
