He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Crooks and Della Draves Crooks; his sister Marilyn Deval; his brother-in-law Arthur Deval; his sister Donna Sawmiller Cox; and his brother-in-law Darrell Sawmiller.
He is survived by: his children, David Crooks (Cynthia) of Annandale, VA, Carmel Rhoda (Rod) of Normal, IL and Cathy Moos (Chris) of Eau Claire, WI; and his grandchildren, Michael Rhoda, Caroline Rhoda, Ellie Rhoda, Caleb Moos (Ashley) and Connor Moos. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
