With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Melvin L. Crooks of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Melvin left this world on September 13, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Crooks and Della Draves Crooks; his sister Marilyn Deval; his brother-in-law Arthur Deval; his sister Donna Sawmiller Cox; and his brother-in-law Darrell Sawmiller.
He is survived by: his children, David Crooks (Cynthia) of Annandale, VA, Carmel Rhoda (Rod) of Normal, IL and Cathy Moos (Chris) of Eau Claire, WI; and his grandchildren, Michael Rhoda, Caroline Rhoda, Ellie Rhoda, Caleb Moos (Ashley) and Connor Moos. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chippewa Valley Church (1805 Goff Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701).
