He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Gardow and Delsie Gardow; his significant other Evelyn Miles; his wife Evelyn Gardow (Miles); his son Bradley Gardow; his granddaughter Nicholle Gardow; his great grandchild Jackson Schlough; and his siblings, Duane Gardow, LaMoine Gardow, Muriel Amundson, Jeanine Lacy, Lillian House, Robert "Bob" Gardow, Shirley Mahlum, Lyle Gardow and George Gardow.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Gardow (Lori), Keith Gardow and LuAnn Schlough (Jerry); his daughter-in-law Deann Culpitt-Gardow; and his brother Darrell Gardow. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
