With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loren DeBord of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, born in Antigo, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard DeBord and Lorriane DeBord; and his wife Betty Bay. He is survived by: his children, Shelly Hannafin (Dan) of Eau Claire, Rick DeBord of Taylorsville, KY and Rhonda Kunferman (Bob) of North Carolina; his stepchildren, Marcia Hock (Bill) of Eau Claire, Patti Bay (Ken Slack) of Wausau, Madison and Gary Bay (Chris) of Superior; his granddaughter Katie Hannafin (Quinn Evans); his stepgrandchildren, Christin Root of Atlanta, GA, Tracy Harrison (Brooks) of Eau Claire, Brandon Root of Stanley, WI, Joe Zitzelsberger (Angie) of Waunakee, WI, Aaron Zitzelsberger (Sarah) of Oregon, WI and Holly Holmquist (Scott) of Superior; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kateri Zitzelsberger, Lily Holmquist, Zakk Holmquist, Paighton Harrison, Jack Zitzelsberger and Grant Zitzelsberger; and his siblings, Doug DeBord (Audrey) of Hartland, WI, Phil DeBord (Joy) of Jackson, WI, Brian DeBord (Sue) of Brookfield, WI, Barb Riedl of Slinger, WI and Debbie DeBord of Wauwatosa, WI.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel (535 S Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, WI 54720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (5750 Old Town Hall Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701).
