He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Heimstead and Geraldine Heimstead (Higley); and his siblings, Louis and Phyliss Gessler. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Brotzman; his sons, Scott Heimstead (Mary) of Eau Claire and Todd Heimstead (Lou) of Eleva; his grandsons, Hunter Heimstead and Tanner Heimstead; his stepgrandchildren, Jessi Hamersky (Mark) and Turner Howard (Glendali Rodriguez); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isabel, Henry, Elsie Hamersky, Ruben and Lorenzo Rodriguez; and his sister-in-law Violet Roffler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
